Yvonne is from Southern California. Prior to her GHC fellowship, Yvonne worked at the National Institutes of Health promoting research in nutrition. As the US point of contact for nomination applications to the Federal Dietary Reference Intakes review, she helped establish the managing protocols for nominations. She co-authored a systematic review of community engagement strategies for health promotion with a team from NIH and CDC. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, followed by a Master’s in Public Policy from American University. Like a true Southern Californian, in her downtime, Yvonne likes to surf and snowboard.
