David Kamau
Chief Program Officer

As GHC’s Chief Program Officer, David leads the organization’s program strategy and delivery, advancing GHC’s mission to mobilize a global community of health equity leaders. He oversees the design and implementation of leadership development pathways and strategic partnerships that strengthen GHC’s impact across Africa.

David brings over 20 years of experience in leadership development, program management, and organizational strategy. Prior to joining GHC, he served as Senior Technical Advisor and East Africa Regional Director for the USAID Africa Trade and Investment Program, and as USAID’s YALI Regional Coordinator for West Africa. He also held senior roles at the YALI Regional Leadership Center in East Africa, where he designed and led leadership development initiatives.

Earlier in his career, David co-founded WYLDE International, where he designed and delivered programs in strategy, organizational development, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Policy & Practice from the University of Cape Town, a Master of Arts in Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
