A New Jersey native, Angelica Recierdo moved to Boston to study at Northeastern University. She is a clinician, writer, and advocate. Holding a Bachelor of Science in nursing, Angelica has either worked or studied in every major hospital in Boston. Her “sweet spot” is public health – a discipline that fuses her varied interests and skills. Her most meaningful public health experiences include completing her practicum at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless in the midst of the current opioid crisis and working on the Women2Women study, which aims to improve the “sex scripts” of urban women of color. Angelica is also a writing and communications maven who has represented organizations working in creative writing to social entrepreneurship and healthcare innovation. In addition to being a GHC fellow, Angelica is an AmeriCorps VISTA member.
