Helen Tazelaar was born and raised in Minnesota, worked in Washington, D.C., and now resides in Amman, Jordan. She supports the monitoring and evaluation systems of development and humanitarian programs. Prior to GHC, Helen was a Research, Analysis, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Deputy Manager for USAID, Syria Essential Services. She was also a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Assistant for Blumont. In her spare time, Helen enjoys listening to all types of podcasts, casual jogging, and convincing people that Minnesota is a top tourist destination.
