Terry is from Kampala, Uganda. She received a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from the School of Clinical Officers-Fort Portal, where she became a medical clinical officer in 2007 and obtained a Bachelor's in Public Health from International Health Sciences University in Kampala. Afterwards, she worked as a clinical officer for five years. Terry started at the public medical center in Kampala before moving on to the Kawempe Home Care Initiative (KHCI), a community-based organization providing holistic care to HIV patients, where she was in charge of the antiretroviral therapy department. She also worked at NAP clinic in Lweza as the manager of the clinic department. Terry was the operations manager at MART consulting, a private firm carrying out research, and a research assistant at Intrahealth International and QD consulting. She volunteered at Bwindi Community Hospital, where she assessed the feasibility of a community-based health insurance scheme in the Batwa community. Terry also volunteered with the Uganda Village Project in Iganga, where she set up health education and promotion activities and a village health team. She enjoys adventure and visiting new places.
