Role Overview

The core role of the Program Manager is quality Program development and program delivery for our digital health portfolio. The Program Manager will ensure quality assurance of our digital health  programs while maintaining strategic networks with relevant in-country and regional stakeholders, donors and partners to grow visibility and influence of the organization. H/She is responsible for defining the programs’ strategic direction, securing funding, quality assurance of the refugee settlement digitization programs, budgets and grants management.  The PM may also be tasked with team leadership and people management to ensure competence and high performance of the organization’s programs..

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage partner engagement and program/project development while maintaining strategic and professional relationships with partners in Refugee Settlements.
  • Define program and project plans, goals, deliverables, and deadlines and develop Project documentation for both internal & external audiences
  • Manage and coordinate projects along Guild’s defined best practices and tools for project execution and management as well as multi-stakeholder teams & activities
  • Link the organization to the international humanitarian service community and create meaningful, resourceful partnerships and networks that will elevate the organization
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members (includes but not limited to Designers, Technical Team, Partnership development, Operations) and other project stakeholders (includes but not limited to partner organization's project manager, communities etc). 
  • Coordinate in-project requirements definition and gathering process as well as software development, testing & quality assurance and deployment.
  • Quality Assurance: Through established processes and frameworks, lead in evaluating the quality of outputs including technical requirements documentation, reports, developed toolkit (web, mobile application, integration and dashboards).
  • Support in the development of  test plans and scenarios for the refugee setting CHMIS platform to ensure they meet expected standards while communicating any gaps and providing suggestions thereof.
  • Documenting and sharing feedback and action points with relevant persons and following through for their resolution.
  • Capacity building: Lead in training cycle management for end-users of the developed software as well Capacity Tech Partners on the applications to be able to adapt and use them in their health areas while also contributing to the products.
  • Support in developing deployment capacity building materials and ensure training materials are updated and uploaded to the respective project github repos, documentation sites and Community Health Toolkit Forum.
  • Support in conducting user feedback activities in collaboration with the internal and external teams.

Skills and Experience

  • The program manager should have experience in livelihoods and humanitarian program design, competitive project proposal writing and resource mobilization from major and potential donors
  • Knowledge and experience of effective financial and Budgetary control and supporting projects to stay on course with implementation
  • Ability to provide strong Monitoring and Evaluation support and compile/review donor reports
  • Advanced report and technical writing skills
  • Have an understanding of health service provision/ public health systems/ community health/ digital health
  • 3 years of relevant professional work experience in digital/technology environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English
  • Willingness to learn and flexibility to work across a multidisciplinary and remote team
  • A masters’ degree is an added advantage
  • Should have completed a course  in project planning and management or related. if not yet, should be willing to complete it
  • Experience with project monitoring, such as designing, gathering, tracking, or reporting on key metrics
