Having a hands-on opportunity to serve with an organization that aims towards improving the health of a community while eliminating health disparities and striving for health equity is what motivated me to become a Global Health Corp fellow.
Janet Choongo was born in Chikankata, Zambia, but has lived in the United States for the past 15 years. Prior to joining GHC, she worked as an Outreach and Education Specialist for Broward Regional Health Planning Council’s TOUCH initiative in Hollywood, Florida.
