Title: Knowledge Management Officer
When global structures reflect the idea that every individual has something substantial to offer, we will move to a more equitable world with greater opportunities to live healthful and fulfilling lives.

Megan Slavish joined GHC from the US National Academy of Medicine, a health policy think tank in Washington, D.C. There she worked in the President’s Office on initiatives related to Ebola, health systems, and diabetes and obesity. Megan’s background in public health, political science, and journalism at Beloit College led her to spend two semesters abroad—one in Botswana studying HIV/AIDS and food security and another focused on non-communicable diseases in India, Argentina, and South Africa. Megan’s passion for health justice contributed to her involvement as a team leader at HIPS, a harm reduction organization in D.C., as well as at a collaborative working to reduce African-American infant mortality in her hometown of Beloit, Wisconsin. Megan enjoys playing team sports, hiking, and exploring new areas, from her backyard to around the world.
