Precious Mutoru was born and raised in Masindi, Uganda. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Makerere University. Precious is interested in technology and how it can best be integrated in different sectors to improve service delivery, particularly in the health sector. This topic was the focus of her final year project where she studied a working application for hospital appointments, referral and records management. Precious went on to join Neptune Financial Software as a technical trainee and later as an Associate Business consultant. In this position, she spearheaded various system project implementations and supported and trained clients in the use of different systems. As a program officer, she planned and organized company activities, including skills training, team building, retreat parties and community outreach programs. Precious has a passion to serve her community, which drives her to constantly be on the lookout for ways to be involved and support change.
