Health equity is the ability for all persons to access and utilize quality and affordable health services irrespective of their status in society.
Alex hails from Fort Portal, Uganda. He is passionate about health interventions that focus on increasing access, improving quality, and strengthening health systems to improve maternal and newborn health. Prior to joining GHC, Alex worked for the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Adolescent, and Child Health Initiative by implemented their monitoring and evaluation system to improve outcomes for infants born to adolescent mothers. Additionally, under the Reproductive Age Mortality Study in 2017, Alex provided technical support and oversaw 300 community health workers. In his free time, Alex enjoys listening to music and traveling.
