Katie Savage is from the small town of Commerce, Georgia. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion from Clemson University, followed by her MPH with a Certificate in Global Health from the University of Georgia. During her academic tenure, Katie worked closely with local communities to conduct a variety of public health activities in partnership with organizations such as the American Red Cross, the HIV/AIDS Specialty Care Clinic, and the Jackson County Family Connection. Prior to joining GHC, she spent three months in Croatia establishing an international collaboration between the University of Georgia and the University of Zagreb and also conducted a pilot research study using data from the Croatia National Psychosis Registry.
