Author: Arielle Eagan

Arielle is originally from Warwick, Rhode Island. Following a passion to work with those affected by illness, Arielle became an oncology social worker with Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, where she counseled patients and families. Through this work, she came to appreciate palliative care and the sense of dignity, empowerment, and peace that can come from a focus on pain management and quality of life for those with life-threatening illnesses. Arielle became a Fellow with the Harvard Medical School's Center for Palliative Care and began working with the Pediatric Advanced Care Team at Boston Children's Hospital to bring palliative care and bereavement support to children and families. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology and Master of Social Work from Boston College. Arielle enjoys spending time with her sister and singing in a cappella groups.
