Armand is the founder, CEO, and president of the Initiatives and Actions for Peace and Development project (IAP) in Burundi and studied Law at Light University of Bujumbura. He is engaged in national and international youth work through different networks like the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the United Network of Young Peacebuilders and the East African Community. He attended the 2nd Forum of the UNAOC in Istanbul, Turkey, as a Marketplace of Ideas presenter. Furthermore, Armand was one of 150 people representing different youth organizations who founded the Global Youth Movement for the Alliance of Civilizations (GYMAOC). In 2011, Armand worked with Samuel Ross, founder of Green Chimneys in Brewster, New York, under the Dekeyser and Friends Foundation Fellowship. Before joining GHC, Armand worked closely with the Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research (TFF) in Sweden to develop peace education for youth in Burundi.
