Arthur Chibwana Gama was born and raised in Malawi. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Malawi, Bunda College in 2010. After completing his undergraduate studies, Arthur started working as a Research Associate for Soil Fertility Consortium for Southern Africa/International Wheat and Maize Improvement Centre, a Centre for the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research. He has been involved in research, M&E and Agribusiness/Agricultural Marketing. Arthur was influential in establishing and operationalizing Kirk Development Research, Training and Consultancy Centre, a fast-growing, research-focused training firm, and has also volunteered at Farmers' Forum for Trade and Social Justice as a Research and Monitoring Officer. As a student, Arthur worked for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security as an Intern District Agribusiness Officer. Arthur would like to be a leader in research, M&E and policy issues, especially in the areas of health, livelihoods and development. He intends to pursue further studies in health-research related fields. During his free time, Arthur enjoys singing, learning new computer skills and reading scholarly articles.
