I am most motivated by what humanity can accomplish through will, creativity, knowledge, and partnership. These attributes helped humans walk on the moon, and I believe they can also help us end mortality from preventable disease.

Ashley is originally from Oxford, Ohio. During her graduate studies, she traveled to Lusaka, Zambia where she was a research assistant on the multi-national childhood pneumonia etiology study, PERCH. Ashley also completed a summer internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, studying Bhutanese refugee health. She attended Denison University for her undergraduate studies, majoring in biology, with multidisciplinary interests in health sciences. After college, Ashley worked in Copenhagen, Denmark planning and leading academic travel at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. She completed her Master of Public Health at Boston University, concentrating in epidemiology and global health. Prior to joining GHC, Ashley was the program coordinator for the Global Primary Care Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Global Health. There, she helped manage a specialized global health residency program and curriculum, global health electives for medicine residents, and partnership initiatives in rural Uganda. Ashley loves running, reading, traveling, doing yoga, and being an aunt to four amazing kids.
