Bertha Chulu calls Chipata, Zambia home. Advocating for improved access to sexual and reproductive health services for adolescent girls and young women has been the north star of her activism. Prior to joining GHC, Bertha was recognized as the Leading Adolescent Health Activist in Zambia by Sexual, Reproductive Health and Rights Africa Trust Zambia and received an award for her human rights advocacy work from the Zambian National Youth Development Council. For fun, Bertha enjoys spending time with family and friends in solitude, listening to poetry, and reading books.
