Health equity refers to the attainment of the highest level of health for all individuals, regardless of their race, gender, religious beliefs, socio-economic status, political stance, or other factors.
Hailing from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Biniam Teshome is an innovative medical doctor constantly seeking opportunities to address social inequities in healthcare and reduce the disparities in health provision. Prior to joining GHC, he served as the head of quality improvement at the primary healthcare level and as a quality, emergency, and critical care officer at the district health bureau level. Additionally, he served as an HIV service specialist on a USAID-funded project. In his free time, Biniam enjoys reading, watching movies, and expanding his knowledge by authoring research papers.
