I have the desire to be an excellent innovator in order to get rid of social injustices, to be a part of new solutions to old problems, to connect, to learn, and to share.

Brian is from Kampala, Uganda. He completed his undergraduate degree at Makerere University, majoring in Computer Science, and his postgraduate studies at Amity University in India, majoring in Information Technology. Brian is passionate about Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and is particularly interested in its intersection with healthcare. Previously, he worked with Watoto Child Care Ministries and various African projects for AED-Satellife's Center for Health and Information Technology, for which he received an award for his work in strengthening health information systems in Uganda. Prior to joining GHC, Brian worked at the International Health Sciences University in Kampala, where he provided ICT support to staff and students. He is a strong advocate for Free and Open Source Software, has worked with the local Linux User Community, and has served on the FOSSFA Council and Executive. Brian is an avid social media enthusiast; he regularly blogs and spends time volunteering with the Media Department at his local church. In his free time, he likes to cook meals for his family and play guitar at his local church.
