Brooke is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining GHC, she completed a Princeton in Latin America Fellowship at Sacred Valley Health, a NGO in Ollantaytambo, Peru where she led health trainings as a nurse community coordinator. Her work in Peru inspired her interest in international public health and she went on to pursue a post-baccalaureate pre-medicine certificate from Northwestern University, currently applying to medical school. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Illinois and has over four years of experience as a nurse in various intensive care settings. Brooke has visited over 40 countries, and in her free time enjoys practicing meditation and learning about integrative health therapies as a Level 2 Reiki practitioner. She also likes singing jazz and participating in vocal ensembles.
