Based in Oakland, California, Caitlin McKenna (she/her) works as a Research Coordinator at Ibis Reproductive Health on qualitative and quantitative studies focused on abortion. This research seeks to understand the experiences of people self-managing abortions in India and pathways to abortion care in the U.S. Midwest. Prior to this role, Caitlin supported Ibis to launch the Mama Sophia app with members of the Mobilizing Activists around Medical Abortion (MAMA) Network: Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health in Kenya and Generation Initiative for Women and Youth Network in Nigeria. Before joining Ibis, she worked at PAI on strategic advocacy communications for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Caitlin served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in D.C. and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Political Science.
