Catherine is a passionate, solutions-oriented leader in the DC-metro food system, with a background in community engagement, nutrition and food access program oversight, and health equity policy work. In her current role as Program Manager I with the Montgomery County, MD Office of Food Systems Resilience, Catherine leads the implementation of the County’s Strategic Plan to End Childhood Hunger and supports various initiatives intended to foster a more inclusive and equitable food system. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Crossroads Community Food Network in Takoma Park, as well as on the Executive Board for the Maryland State School Health Council. Catherine received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and a master's degree in Nutrition Education from American University.
