Chanda Engred Manda hails from Nkhata Bay District in Malawi and has served her communities through the lens of a feminist and a passionate advocate for health equity, gender equality, women’s empowerment and reproductive rights. Prior to joining GHC, Chanda has been the recipient of several grants and awards including a grant she received while attending the 10th Africa Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ACSRHR) for the implementation of a sexual and reproductive health and rights program. In 2020, Chanda won 1st place for the 2022 YouthLead ‘Turning Point’ Contest Award. In 2018, She was awarded with an SRHR Celebrity Oscar Award during the youth SRHR Program in Johannesburg, South Africa. Chanda is an exercise enthusiast and enjoys watching movies when she has time.
