I would like to make real, concrete contributions to improve the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged children.

Chenyue was raised in Tianjin City, China. He is in the process of completing his PhD from the Institute for Global Health, University College London. In his PhD project, he contributed to the establishment and evaluation of a community care program in rural China for the left-behind children of migrant workers. While in London, Chenyue was employed as a research consultant at Save the Children UK, focusing on child inequality for the post-2015 development agenda. He has also worked with the UNICEF China Office in Bejing, investigating causes of child deaths in rural China by verbal/social autopsy. Chenyue conducted research and program management with Peking University China Center for Health Development Studies and Peking Institute for Global Health. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he served as a medical assistant volunteer. Chenyue completed his undergraduate studies at Peking University, majoring in medical science and English and received his master’s degree in international health from Uppsala University in Sweden.
