I am motivated by the idea of leaving the world a bit better. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said "To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - that is to have succeeded.

David is from Brighton, England. He spent two years in the private sector before transitioning to nonprofits and has since worked in the Palestinian Territories and Vietnam. In Vietnam he worked for the organization Hue Help where he was responsible for a collaborative program with the local government to integrate water safety and swimming skills into state school curriculums within rural flood-prone districts with significant rates of child drowning. David also worked closely with a Norwegian organization assisting in the implementation of a disaster risk reduction program that educated rural communities about the risks of climate change. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Sussex, majoring in French and Spanish.
