Availability of quality health care to all people regardless of ones sex, ethnicity, race, religion or political affiliation.
Davies Bwalya was born in Chipata, the eastern province of Zambia. He attended the University of Zambia for his tertiary education, where he majored in demography and minored in development studies. In his final year, Davies conducted research on family planning among married youth and worked on the demographic projections for the southern province of Zambia. After graduating, Davies worked in a number of organizations and finally settled at Eastern Community Health and Development Program where he played a key role in various health and development projects that provided adaptation of positive health behavior and youth empowerment. Davies is most proud of his work pioneering the Youth Initiative for Better Communities. In his free time, Davies plays chess and soccer.
