Dennis Hirwe is from Kigali, Rwanda, where he contributes to change through his role as the Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor at the University of Global Health Equity. Dennis has made significant strides through vital initiatives such as the #AskProfAgnes webinar series, overseeing operations across teams in Kigali, Butaro, Boston, and Haiti. He has successfully released research on health system resilience, providing guidance and knowledge to international researchers. His impact extends beyond research; he represents the Vice Chancellor at significant health workshops aimed at transforming the health sector one step at a time. Whether drafting influential speeches, managing global collaborations, or planning travel across 20+ countries, Dennis is a fierce advocate for transformative health equity initiatives worldwide. As a GHC fellow, Dennis is eager to acquire leadership and management techniques, focusing on adaptability, effective partnerships, and decision-making in the context of the unique barriers faced by health systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. He looks forward to interacting with elite fellows to exchange ideas on building a healthier and more robust region. Ultimately, he aspires to become an inclusive and evolving leader in global health.
