Author: Edison Ndayambaje

Edison was born and raised in Kisoro District, Uganda. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Makerere University. Before joining GHC, Edison was the Director for MCDO, where he has worked for the past three years. He has played a key role in improving the living conditions of the people of Kisoro through education and community tourism. Previous jobs have included working as a volunteer for Muramba sub-county NAADS Programme, where he chaired a committee responsible for purchasing agricultural inputs for rural farmers. Due to his consistent commitment to community development, Edison was granted different opportunities to attend professional trainings and conferences in Uruguay, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, and Uganda. In January 2011, he enrolled for a six-month course in non-profit management at the International People's College in Denmark. Through the GHC fellowship, he looks forward to using his experiences to improve health care services for the poor.
