Edison Nihiwacu is a Rwandan researcher committed to improving human health through innovation. Edison worked at Innovation for Poverty Action (IPA) on a health evaluation project, where he contributed to assessing the impact of community based environmental health promoting program. Prior to his work with IPA Rwanda, Edison worked with Local Administrative Entities Development Agency as a researcher, where he assisted in the categorization of Rwandan economic status in order to uplift poor families’ living standards and improve their social welfare. Edison also worked with Digital Opportunity Trust, where he trained more than 140 youth in entrepreneurship, information and communications technology, and livelihood skills. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics from University of Rwanda, Edison volunteered at Bright Future Cornerstone as a monitoring and evaluation officer. In his free time, Edison likes swimming, skating, traveling, and reading.
