Author: Estefania Amparo Palomino

Estefani´a grew up in Cu´cuta, Colombia. She earned a law degree from the Universidad de Los Andes, a specialization diploma in constitutional law from the University of Pisa and a master’s degree in international law from the United Nations University for Peace. During her legal studies, she received the Ciro Angarita Baron scholarship, and represented her university in competitions and conferences around the world. Estefani´a worked as a staff attorney at one of the biggest corporate law firms in Colombia, Brigard & Urrutia Lawyers, and served as a visiting professional at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. She co-founded a legal clinic in Colombia focused on right-to-health litigation. During her graduate studies, she worked as a legal research assistant for the UNESCO’s pilot project on Journalist Safety Indicators in Guatemala and Honduras. In her spare time, Estefani´a loves reading and sharing Colombian culture with others, especially its musical and cinematographic contributions.
