Evariste Manirumva was born in Ngoma, an Eastern province of Rwanda. He has always dreamed of becoming a healthcare provider and majored in pharmacy at the University of Rwanda. While in his undergraduate career, Evariste was an active member of the Rwanda Pharmacy Students’ Association. He also received a degree in theology and religious education from CSR Bible School in Huye. In June 2014, Evariste joined the research team at Partners in Health, Rwanda where he worked on operational research for healthcare, particularly Early Childhood Development. He also completed an online certificate course in Global Public Health from the Sustainable Development Solutions Network in collaboration with Public Health Foundation India (SDSN/PHFI). Prior to joining GHC, Evariste worked as the managing pharmacist of a pharmaceutical company in Kigali.
