Author: Evelyn Omala

Evelyn was born and raiseed in Kampala, Uganda, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Makerere University, Uganda. In 2007, Evelyn was selected as one of ten students to represent the University in the IEEE "ICT & Engineering Students Exhibition 2007" that took place in Nairobi, Kenya. At the exhibition, Evelyn emerged as the winner in the International category. With her IT skills, she decided to volunteer as an online IT trainer with the Ann Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life and opportunities for children with special needs, in Western Uganda. Since completing her studies, Evelyn has worked at Warid Telecom Uganda as a Systems Analyst for Enterprise Applications, where she has successfully been project lead for the implementation of a Human Resource Management System. She enjoys cooking, dancing, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
