Fred grew up in Kitwe, Zambia. He received his undergraduate degree in agroforestry at Copperbelt University in Zambia, served as Secretary General for the Association of Visiting Secretaries, was a projects coordinator for the Natural Resource and Environmental Society, and was a member of the Student Council. While in school, Fred founded the Natubombe Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd., the first ever cooperative in his community. Fred also completed a graduate certificate in monitoring and evaluation at University of Zambia in 2012. Prior to joining GHC, he worked at World Vision on their Sustainability Through Economic Strengthening, Prevention, and Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children initiative.
