Health equity means health systems are diverse enough to accommodate the needs of every person and therefore giving everyone an opportunity to attain the highest level of health regardless of their socially defined position in the community.

Funny hails from Blantyre, Malawi. She is an environmental health professional who is passionate about influencing positive community health outcomes and using data to influence decision making. Prior to joining GHC, Funny worked with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation as a research assistant. She focused on evaluating the potential adoptions of community scorecards to prevent mother-child transmission of HIV/AIDS. Funny also worked with Save the Children International as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Officer, focusing on social protection projects and engagement with beneficiaries. In her free time, Funny enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes.
