Gift Nwanne is from Imo State, South Eastern Nigeria. In 2014, he won the “Outstanding Field Research Officer” award from the Inspire Moment Research Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria. Gift has worked extensively with the Institute of Human Virology as a Research and Program Officer where he facilitated trainings for project staff and assisted in the development of curriculum for the trainings. He was also involved in ethically enrolling research subjects, collecting data and auditing site activities with respect to study protocol for the first implementation research on “the impact of mother mentors on HIV positive pregnant women in north central Nigeria.” Gift spent time as a volunteer with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) where he trained over forty secondary school students on adolescent and reproductive health education. He earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Abuja. Gift is particularly passionate about public health and health policy.
