Gillian Leitch was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up outside of New York City. For the last three years, Gillian has worked as a senior associate at Global Health Strategies, an international advocacy and communications firm focused on global health issues. In this role, she supported the Global Polio Eradication Initiative's communications efforts, co-led all of the media activities around the 2016 International Conference on Family Planning in Bali, Indonesia, and worked to raise global awareness about maternal, newborn and child health issues. Gillian graduated from Tufts University in 2013 where she majored in international relations with a focus in global health, nutrition and the environment. During high school and college, she spent time in South Africa, El Salvador, and Argentina.
