Gretchen Gasteier was born and raised in Ohio, USA and has lived in Washington, DC, USA for the past ten years. She is a passionate advocate for marginalized populations. Prior to joining GHC, Gretchen provided research and manuscript support for Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation following their evaluation of the National Pediatric and Adult ART Program in Zambia. Additionally, Gretchen volunteered in DC, teaching health literacy classes at a homeless shelter. While studying abroad in South Africa, Gretchen volunteered at a TB hospital in the pediatric ward and led a fundraiser to raise money for extra supplies for the unit. Gretchen enjoys drawing and is learning to play the ukulele.
