"I believe that young people can make a big difference in the world when given the opportunity."

Hannah is from Los Angeles, California. In high school she moved for a year with her family to Cape Town, South Africa, where her passion for public health began as she watched her mother develop a thriving NGO. In May, she earned her Bachelor's in International Development and Sociology at Tulane University. During her junior year she studied for a semester in Ghana, helping create and run a nonprofit eco-tourism program called Rise Up Development Collective, an organization striving to help the people of Wli Todzi build an accessible health clinic. At Tulane she was active in her social sorority, as well as in the service fraternity. Additionally, she was a research assistant at the Payson Center for International Development, assisting in HIV/AIDS research for the CDC in Cote d'Ivoire and the Congo. She has volunteered in the U.S., South Africa, Ghana and China, and is extremely excited about her adventure with GHC.
