Heena Patel grew up in Orange County, California and most recently made San Francisco her new home. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, Irvine (UCI), majoring in Information and Computer Science. While at UCI, she co-founded the Undergraduate Business Association, which enabled students across all disciplines to build their business acumen and strengthen their leadership skills. After undergrad, she has taken up business analyst, project management and consulting roles within the various companies she has worked for - Valeant Pharmaceuticals, United Health Group and Genentech. Aside from work, Heena was on the Board of the Riordan Programs Alumni Association and was a Board Intern for Working Wardrobes, through the Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development program. She assisted these non-profit organizations with their marketing and communications, IT, and strategic planning initiatives. During her free time, Heena enjoys hiking, cooking and photography.
