Isaac Mugumbule is from Kampala, Uganda. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree. He is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Since completing his studies, Isaac has worked with Architecture for Humanity as a Design Fellow stationed in Nairobi, Kenya. He led the community design process, procurement, and construction for the Slums Information Development Resource Centre (SIDAREC) Technology Centre in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum. This Centre now provides access to the Internet, computer and technology training, health clinic services, early childhood development programs and community theatre. Isaac’s second project, the Mathare Football for Hope Centre in Komarock, is an official legacy of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The Centre now brings Public Health and Education through football to the Mathare community. Isaac hopes to be an exemplary leader whose work will inspire, inform, and empower a new generation of socially conscious professionals.
