Title: Health Officer

Jane is from Hawaii and graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in International Health and Human Rights. During her undergraduate studies, she completed an internship in Tanzania at Mt. Meru Regional Hospital and Tanzania Pharmaceutical Industries. Since 2004, Jane has been an advocate of human rights in North Korea. At Mount Holyoke, she started a chapter of Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), a non-profit organization focused on North Korean human rights. Upon completion of her studies, she worked full-time as a Program Officer for LiNK headquarters in Washington, D.C., where she focused on awareness campaigns and public health. She later became a Protection Officer in Southeast Asia, running the only major underground shelter for US-bound North Korean refugees. Most recently, Jane returned to Hawaii, where she worked for the National Children's Study and volunteered for the Hawaii H.O.M.E. (Homeless Outreach and Medical Education) Project. In the future, Jane hopes to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Paul Farmer and her mentor, Dr. Krisana Kraisintu.
