Author: Jean Nepomuscene Uwurukundo

A proud native of the Mukama sector of Nyagatare District in Rwanda, Jean Nepomuscene Uwurukundo is passionate about nutritional wellness and has worked hard to shine a spotlight on nutrition as a critical element of public health. Prior to joining GHC, Jean co-founded and served as the Programs Director for Health Promotions Organization, an NGO which works on initiatives for social protection. Additionally, Jean has participated in field research with the World Health Organization, volunteered for several organizations including Rwanda Biomedical, Rwanda NCD Alliance, and Rwanda Diabetes Association. During his time at University of Rwanda, he served as a community nutrition intern at Gardens for Health International and a Rwanda Red Cross volunteer. In his free time, Jean enjoys playing volleyball, reading books, watching Korean dramas, and listening to music.
