Title: Health System Quality Improvement Coordinator: Monitoring & Evaluation for Health Facilities, Staff and Data
As long as people die of illnesses for which treatments exist, entire populations are failed by the systems that should be set up to support them, and your ability to have a baseline good quality of health is dictated by who you are or how much money you have--the world is not just and I will be working to try to change that reality.

Jen is originally from Greenville, North Carolina. Jen worked on last-mile distribution of essential technologies in off-grid areas in India and improved implementation of a Ugandan Ministry of Health program using community health workers to fill a treatment gap and reduce under age five child mortality. Additionally, she conducted a randomized controlled trial maximizing adoption of public health interventions in 32 Honduran villages through social network targeting. She graduated from Harvard College with a degree in government and sociology and a minor in global health and health policy. While at Harvard, she served as student body vice president and first class marshal, and was a founding team member of an international development startup called Essmart, which was the 2012 grand prize winner of the International Dell Social Innovation Challenge. Immediately prior to GHC, Jen worked for Senator Kay Hagan on Capitol Hill. Jen loves hiking, photography, learning new languages, and trying new foods and experiences.
