Jenala Nyangu is from Lusaka, Zambia. Jenala has interned with both governmental and non-governmental organizations focusing on topics including water supply and sanitation, health promotion and communicable and non-communicable diseases. She has worked as a social and environmental consultant for Devotion Trust Fund in water, sanitation and hygiene issues affecting the urban poor. Prior to becoming a GHC Fellow, Jenala was a public health and clinical medicine lecturer at City University College of Science and Technology. She received a Bachelor of Science in environmental health from the University of Zambia and received additional academic qualifications in monitoring and evaluation and project management. She enjoys singing, volunteering in the community and fundraising.
