Author: Jerome Owagage Mpaata

Jerome is originally from Jinja, Uganda. He worked as the assistant director of the Medicines and Health Services Delivery Monitoring Unit for the government of Uganda where he was engaged in health policy formulation, review, analysis, and budgetary performance monitoring. This experience drove Jerome to pursue his master’s degree in health and medical law at the University of Melbourne. As an undergraduate, Jerome pursued a bachelor of pharmacy degree at Mbarara University. Jerome volunteered for a university peer project addressing student HIV/AIDS challenges and co-founded Students for Equity in Healthcare, a group committed to addressing health inequity through advocacy.
