No individual is as effective on their own as they could be when plugged into a larger movement that is working towards a common goal.

Joseph is originally from Atlanta, GA. He received his undergraduate degree Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia and his Master’s degree in Public Health in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences and a Certificate in Global Health from the University of Pittsburgh. While an undergraduate, Joseph conducted research with the Southern Center for Communication Health and Poverty. During his time in Pittsburgh, he worked at the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion at the Pittsburgh VA on several studies including the Veterans Aging Cohort Study, investigating the link between HIV and cardiovascular disease. Since 2007, Joseph has been traveling to Zambia with the group Zambia Medical Mission, conducting mobile medical clinics in remote areas of the Southern Province. As a part of his graduate studies, he also completed an internship with Namwianga Radio in Zambia, evaluating the effectiveness of the station’s health communications messages. Before joining GHC, he regularly volunteered on the production team at NorthBridge Community Church.
