Joy Talemwa hails from Kampala, Uganda where she has used her affinity for storytelling, photography, and audio-visual art to advocate for inclusive policies and social intervention to empower individuals to live healthy and dignified lives. Prior to joining GHC, Joy worked with Children's Mission Africa (CMA) and set-up the regional communications department. She also provided communication, branding, and knowledge management advisory support to CMA’s partner organizations across Africa. She later joined a health research institution that launched her into the world of health equity. Joy enjoys reading and watching non-fiction content, going on morning runs, and spending laughter-filled evenings with her friends and family.
