Kaila Clarke is originally from the metro-Detroit area in Michigan. After completing her undergraduate education, Kaila spent two years in Senegal conducting research on reproductive health for Population Council before joining myArgo, a start-up social enterprise. At myArgo, she led the management of the Senegal pilot and gained experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, training and communications. Prior to joining GHC, Kaila worked as the Program Officer for Bikes for the World, a DC-area non-profit that supports development projects overseas through shipments of used bicycles and parts. In this role, she identified new partners, developed monitoring and evaluation methods, coordinated logistics and increased partner feedback. She completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University where she majored in International Relations and French. Kaila is passionate about community-driven approaches to sustainable development and enjoys being immersed into new cultures.
