"Community enriches life so much more than I could hope to experience on my own."

Kat is French-American. She grew up in London, U.K., and completed her undergraduate studies at Macalester College in Minnesota, majoring in International Studies with a double concentration in Human Rights and Global Health. During a semester off from college, Kat worked in Burundi for nine months at Friends Women's Association, a grassroots organization delivering health care, microfinance and trauma healing to women across Burundi. Returning from her travels, Kat coordinated a WHO meeting for the Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) task force. In coordination with USAID, she is currently working to publish a paper on the NTD finance model and advances towards aid effectiveness. Kat enjoys biking and rock climbing. She's always prepared to see, try, and do new things, the wilder, the better!
