Katie Farina hails from Sydney, Australia. After completing a Bachelor of Science in medical science at the University of Technology Sydney, Katie traveled to Faridabad, India where she volunteered in the local community. Katie returned to Australia with a new perspective on society and health, so she enrolled in the Master of International Public Health program at the University of Sydney where she focused on communicable diseases and women’s health. Katie was also a participant in the University of Cambridge International Summer School program, where she studied immunology. After completing her master’s degree, Katie had the privilege of working with the advocacy and public affairs team at Médecins Sans Frontières Australia, where she worked on their global vaccines campaign, “A Fair Shot”.
