Kettie Sambani hails from Blantyre, Malawi. Her engagement in health equity serves as a challenge to create solutions to the most pressing healthcare problems and identify interventions that can help achieve health equity. Prior to joining GHC, Kettie was a Monitoring, Evaluation and Communications Assistant at the UN Women Malawi. She is also a member of Youth to Youth Empowerment, working towards empowering youth through education, entrepreneurship and health. Kettie has also worked with Family Health International, involved in research activities on promoting education, eliminating violence, and reducing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among girls. She specialized in economics and sociology at the University of Malawi. During her free time, Kettie loves reading human interest stories, watching human interest movies and documentaries, listening to music, and exercising. She wants to be part of the young professionals who work towards shaping the healthcare and improving the well-being of the world's poor and vulnerable.
